Yes I take photos but a lot of time and work is involved in pushing and punishing the pixels in my images to achieve the look I like.

The space shuttle Enterprise is on display at the Udvar Hazy center near Washington D.C.

Monday, January 4, 2010 at 6:24AM | in Aviation, HDR, Museum, National Air and Space Museum, Panorama, Travel, Washington DC I mounted my DSLR on my gorilla pod and put it on the ground at the Udvar Hazy Center in Washington D.C. for this 3 shot HDR panorama. Each of the 3 shots consists of 10 exposures. I used Photoshop CS4 to stitch this. Original file size before downsizing for upload was over 14,000 pixels wide.
Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 1:24AM | in Bokeh, California, Disney, HDR, Lensbaby The animation building at Disney California Adventure is a hidden gem. Disney recently gave the building a face lift in an effort to draw more theme park visitors but I often find it fairly empty. This is the central hall and my favorite part of the attraction. Still images and video clips from various Disney/Pixar movies are projected on several huge screens in a constantly changing collage. Special lighting and sound enhances the mood.

Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 7:15PM | in HDR, National Cathedral, Washington DC I was immediately struck by 2 things upon entering the National Cathedral in Washington D.C.
First it's a huge space, probably the largest space I have ever stood in. Second the colored light streaming through the large open space was strikingly beautiful and ethereal.
While framing up this shot I decided to tilt my ultra wide angle lens a little to add a bit of interest. Not sure how well that worked out.
Stairs leading to the dining room wrap around a 42-foot-high wine tower, built of steel and laminated glass, that holds nearly 10,000 bottles. "Wine Angels" on wires float upward to retreive specific bottles.
