My Favorite Photos on Flickr
Are my photos for sale?

While all of my photographs are copyrighted, they are available for non-exclusive licensing and I also sell large size prints. Contact me via email at for pricing info.

to my personal photography blog. I specialize in making unique and highly detailed photographs. Notice I said making and not taking. Yes I take photos but a lot of time and work is involved in pushing and punishing the pixels in my images to achieve the look I like.

Please feel free make comments about any of my photos. I enjoy constructive critiques, learning about locations to shoot or photography techniques. Click on the "Share Article" link to share any of my photos via Digg, Facebook, Myspace, etc.

Want to use one of my images in your own blog? No problem, but please make sure it links back to the original image here and do the right thing and give me credit. Don't crop the image, remove the watermarks or claim my work as your own. This has happened more times than I can count so I've had to report copyright violations to ISP's and regrettably the violators blog is usually taken down.

Can't we all just get along?

Dessert at the Prado in Balboa Park

If you asked Kathy what our favorite dessert is, I'm convinced she would answer "Creme Brulee" without hesitating a second. It wasn't always that way. When we were dating, we went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and I ordered a Creme Brulee for us to share. She promptly told me "I don't like custard" and I of course told her that this was not custard and she should try it becasuse it's delicious. She then told me "I'm not putting that crap in my mouth" which made me laugh. She did finally try it and the next time we went to Ruth's Chris, she said "Should we get a Creme Brulee for each of us?"

My muse, my beloved

This is my beautiful wife Kathy. While she really doesn't like being on the lens side of a camera, she let me take this shot of her while we were waiting for our lunch to be served at the Prado restaurant in San Diego's Balboa Park. It was a beautiful day and Kathy looked lovely. An amazingly talented photographer and graphic designer, you can see her work at

Do Not Cross

This was taken on Commercial Street near the intersection of Grant. Kathy and I took a bunch of photos this night. The lighting was really interesting! We could smell something burning. Maybe a transformer exploded or something like that.

Animation Building

Animation Building, originally uploaded by big_pixel_pusher.

The animation building at Disney California Adventure is a hidden gem. Disney recently gave the building a face lift in an effort to draw more theme park visitors but I often find it fairly empty. This is the central hall and my favorite part of the attraction. Still images and video clips from various Disney/Pixar movies are projected on several huge screens in a constantly changing collage. Special lighting and sound enhances the mood.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree

Lagerfeld, originally uploaded by big_pixel_pusher.

There are just a few colognes that I like to wear. Lagerfeld is a favorite. I was looking at how the light on my headboard was reflecting inside the bottle and I decided to try a Lensbaby macro shot.
